COLLABORATION

Park Haven Plaza is a unique collaboration involving Novin Development Corp., the Central Valley Coalition for Affordable Housing, the County of Santa Cruz, and Abode Services, offering comprehensive support services on-site such as financial aid resources for veterans and students, as well as addiction and mental health referrals. FPI Property Management Inc. will oversee the site with a dedicated resident manager in accordance with the Homekey and AB 2162 ministerial review process conducted by the County's Development Review Group. Novin Development is an experienced sponsor and developer of mixed-income multifamily projects that focus on achieving goals centered on social responsibility and environmental sustainability. NDC’s Founder and Principal has worked in affordable housing for over 16 years, serving in important roles for two of California’s largest nonprofit affordable housing companies, where he was involved in the acquisition, entitlement and construction of over 1,500 units throughout California prior to starting Novin Development. Novin Development has a current pipeline of over 400 units of affordable housing across the greater Bay Area.

Central Valley Coalition for Affordable Housing

Developer

Central Valley Coalition for Affordable Housing is a non-profit organization serving residents needs through the development of social, economic and affordable housing opportunities. They were established by the Housing Authority of the County of Merced in 1989 due to the lack of affordable, low-income housing development in the area. The Coalition is dedicated to make housing affordable to all through safe practices and service-rich communities. 

County of Santa Cruz 

Developer

The County of Santa Cruz is a diverse community that includes four incorporated cities: Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Scotts Valley, and Capitola. The County recognizes the importance of uplifting those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They utilize housing laws, such as SB35, to streamline the process and offer affordable housing at a faster rate.

Abode Services has been providing professional property management and housing services since 1989 and is the largest homeless housing and services provider in the Bay Area. Abode Services currently provides a full array of wrap-around resident services to 16 permanent supportive housing communities in the Bay Area. The supportive services provided by Abode for permanent supportive households enable the residents to achieve their goals and support them to remain stably housed. In the fiscal year 2018, 95 percent of participants in our permanent supportive housing programs remained stably housed during the year. Abode Services has been active in the community of Santa Cruz County since 2012.
